Every year we test new products aboard Bee Weems. This season while traveling in the Bahamas and the Intracoastal waterway, we strapped two new instruments on the top of the boat to see how well they would “weather” – literally!! A clock and barometer. The instruments were subjected to huge amounts of rain with solar heat and salt spray sprinkled in for good measure.
The clock cases are constructed of stamped brass with the same tough finish that is used on the hugely popular<a href="http://www viagra per nachnahme kaufen.weems-plath.com/store/search.php?keyword=endurance” > Weems & Plath Endurance Collection. The finish is guaranteed to never tarnish, so we put it to the test in the unforgiving Bahamian climate. The barometer incorporates a new type of mounting system that keeps the mechanism in the case watertight. To keep the water out, both instruments are sealed with an 0-ring where the bezel and crystal join.
Here’s how they looked at the beginning of the trip.
Here’s how they looked at the end of 4 weeks. As you can see, the clock is still keeping time, and the finish, although spotted will easily clean up with a damp cloth.
